“It is possible that you may dislike something but it is better for you.”
This is a quote from chapter two of the Qur’an and nothing demonstrates this more than the Trump presidency in the United States.
A great scholar of Islam once that those who are opposed to his da’wah (call to Islam) spread it more than he and those who assist him spread it. With the recent ban of Muslims from seven countries I have seen the following:
1. Much of the American public has shown solidarity with immigrant Muslims to the point that in some airports they have shielded the Muslims when they were praying.
2. Many of the Muslims who were afraid to even speak Arabic in an airport are now unafraid to pray in droves in these same airports.
3. American public awareness of Islam as a religion is growing even though media outlets try to besmirch its image.
Hence, having patience and being upright rather than being fearful and anxious is the means to victory. And as the Salaf said: Be patient until the evil becomes dormant.
Trump will only be there for 4 year (or less if he gets impeached) and Allah, who controls the heavens and the earth remains.
