To go to Dammaj or not to go?

Assalamu Alaikum,

For months I have read articles and listened to different tapes on the Fitnah between Shaikh Yahya and  Shaikh Ubaid Al Jaabiri to the point where Shaikh Ubaid warned from studying in Dammaj. Now let us get some points straight before we move on:

(1) Shaikh Yahya Al Haajuri was selected by Shaikh Muqbil to be the head teacher of Dar Ul Hadeeth and no one knows his student better than his teacher. He said: “And to not try to descend him from the chair.”

(2) This is not something new. These attacks have been happening since the time of Abu Hasan Al Ma’ribi and are continuing to this day. Therefore, without doubt anyone who warns from Dar Ul Hadeeth indeed is either an innovator, one who has in his heart a sickness or one who has been hoodwinked. Why I say this? It is because that it is quite possible that Dammaj has the most memorisers of Qur’an and the Saheehain per capita more than anywhere else in the world and no one sees evil of this except that he is one of three men.

When you see students of knowledge at 33 and 37 years of age having so much knowledge, speaking about Shaikh Abu Amr and Shaikh Abdul Hameed respectively, then what can you say afterward?

By Allah, I went to the University of Madinah and the University is more deserved of being warned against than Dar-Ul-Hadeeth with the mere fact that the University has Hizbees teaching in it and additionally they have teachers whose beards are shaven in the Arabic Language program from what I heard from some students there right now.

I am not warning from the University of Madinah however I am putting forward the scenario if it were that one had to be warned against over the other.

(3) That the da’wah in Dar Ul Hadeeth is far from Hizbeeyah, far from elections and politics, Tamyee’ and Ghuluw etc. Therefore, how can we say that there is no good there and that it is a must to warn against it and stay away from it?

(4) That Dar-Ul-Hadeeth is about knowledge day and night. As brothers who were there told me it is very intense and it is a must to memorise many Ahadeeth. They have no vacations, and no certificates to obtain but rather they do it for Allah in order to call to his way.

Hence, seeing these 4 distinguishing matters how can anyone with the least bit of common sense, from the West, say that it is not allowed to go to Dammaj? The only one who does this is a man of desires without doubt, a man who seeks to hide his Hizbeeyah, a man who without doubt has a disease in his heart.

As for our Shaikh and father Shaikh Ubaid. I met him in Madinah twice. Once in his house and once in a debate for a Master’s degree. I also went to some of his classes on Sharh Us Sunnah in Masjid Thuu Nurain. Alhamdu Lillah he is a lovely man, a man of Zuhd, a man who loves the Sunnah and its people and hates innovation. But without doubt our Shaikh Yahya Al Haajuri has been backstabbed by some pretending Salafeeyah  and for this reason we see what we see.

Think my dear brothers, it is the same thing that happened with Ash Shaikh Wasiyullah and Spubs. Shaikh Wasiyullah may Allah preserve him was told a plethora of lies. Abu Khadeejah gives Fatwa, they deliver Khula’ to find out that none of it has an ounce of truth.

And it is the same in this country to the point that one wanted to carry me to the Grand Mufti of the Mamlakah because I refuted what he was upon from Tamyee’ (softening the Manhaj). Now if one of the scholars refuted me without looking at what I call toward,  but everyone worldwide knows without doubt that I, Musa Millington call to Tawheed, Salafeeyah and unity and speak against Shirk, Hizbeeyah etc, will everyone come and say well Musa not upon Salafeeyah when his writings and speech show that he is? No, that would not be the case, however it would be obvious that a backstabber went to one of the Shaikhs or scholars, poisoned his mind and got what he wanted from them.

And this happens in every place and time. There are backstabbers lurking in the bushes looking for any oppurtunity to cripple you and drive that knife through your spine because of their jealousy and hatred for the purity of Aqeedah and Manhaj you call toward.

To all these backstabbers Allah ta’ala is watching you and aware of your plans. The Prophet (Salallahu Alaihi wa sallam) said: “And it is possible that I make a judgement for the one who is more eloquent. And whomsoever I do that for let him know I am cutting a piece of the fire for him.”

So if any of you want to cut a piece of the fire for yourselves with international dimensions then knock yourselves out. Allah will be witness of what you did.

So let us beware of our tongues and respect our both scholars despite what they say of each other. Without doubt, from what I have written we have no doubt of who the party in error is however this does not mean that he is outside of Ahlus Sunnah. Rather we say that he has one blessing if he wanted truth.
